Festivals
The Montserrat Arts Council through funding provided by the Office of the Premier, Government of Montserrat, supports several national festivals annually.

St. Patrick’s Festival – Held each March, the festival celebrates the failed rebellion in 1768 and our African ancestry.
Cudjoe Head Day – Held the first weekend in August.
Alliouagana Festival of the Word – AFW LitFest is held annually in the month of November. This year’s festival is Nov 17 to 19, 2022 with local and regional authors part of the lineup. Visit the website at litfest.ms for the full calendar and updates.
Carnival– Montserrat’s oldest festival, it was renamed carnival in 2019 to separate its identity from other popular festivals on the island.
